Terms of Use
These terms govern use of the NurseLink website, account system and MVP application. They are written for the current pre-production stage and will be updated before live clinical and payment services are activated.
1. The service
NurseLink is being developed as a verified nurse marketplace, scheduling system, care-management platform and accountability layer for Jamaica. The current app contains real account registration and login, but patient, shift, medication and payment records displayed in the demo workspace are sample data unless expressly identified otherwise.
2. Account eligibility and responsibility
You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. Professional registration with NurseLink does not by itself mean that NurseLink has completed credential verification. Nurse accounts begin as unverified until the verification process is completed.
3. Not an emergency service
NurseLink is not an emergency response service. In an emergency, users should contact the appropriate emergency or healthcare service directly rather than relying on the platform, messaging, scheduled check-ins or marketplace matching.
4. Clinical judgment
Nurses remain responsible for exercising appropriate professional judgment within their lawful scope of practice. Platform workflows, reminders, care plans and documentation tools do not replace professional standards, clinical assessment or instructions from appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.
5. Marketplace relationships
NurseLink may facilitate introductions, bookings, scheduling, documentation and payments. The legal relationship for a particular engagement may depend on the service model and contract presented for that booking. NurseLink will not describe every nurse as an employee of NurseLink unless that is actually the applicable relationship.
6. Verification
Verification levels summarize completed checks and platform signals; they are not a guarantee of future conduct, clinical outcome or suitability for every care situation. Users should review the underlying credential and skill information shown for a nurse.
7. Prohibited use
You may not impersonate another person, submit false credentials, access records without authorization, scrape or misuse personal information, interfere with security, upload malicious code, harass users, manipulate ratings, falsify care logs or use the service for unlawful activity.
8. Suspension and termination
NurseLink may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, security, credential concerns, policy breaches, legal requirements or investigation. Significant decisions should be documented and subject to appropriate review.
9. Payments
Live payment processing is not yet enabled. Before payments go live, NurseLink will publish applicable fees, cancellation rules, payout timing and dispute processes. See Payments & Disputes.
10. Liability and availability
The MVP may change, be unavailable or contain incomplete features. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Production service terms will be reviewed before launch of real patient records and live payments.
11. Governing framework
These terms are intended for a Jamaica-first service and are subject to applicable Jamaican law. Any final commercial or clinical service agreement may include additional terms specific to that relationship.
